Roach Betting $1,000 on First Round Knockout Victory by Pacquiao

Trainer and boxing coach Freddie Roach is making a bold prediction as he puts up a bet of $1,000 for a first-round knockout victory by Manny Pacquiao over Miguel Cotto in their 'Firepower' match on November 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada Miguel Cotto should start cramming now by changing his fighting style overnight or Pacquiao will knock him out in the early rounds of their 'Firepower' match.

Freddie Roach predicted that Pacquiao can finish Cotto in the first round as the famous trainer believes that Pacquiao's natural speed will be too much for Cotto to overcome. Roach is even putting up $1,000 bet for a first round knock out victory by Pacquiao.

Obviously elated with the progress of Pacquiao's preparation the past five weeks, Roach said he'd be the least surprised if the scheduled 12-round welterweight title lasts even shorter than the singing of the Philippine National Anthem.

Alex Ariza, Pacquiao's conditioning and strength coach echoed the same prediction.
"Manny's speed is going to mess up Cotto. He (Cotto) wouldn't even know what will hit him," said Ariza, covering his head with his two hands to show how Cotto would react once Pacquiao throws his combinations.

Before going up to Baguio City for the first leg of training and physical conditioning, Roach was cautious about his predictions saying that the fight will go the full route. Roach and Ariza must be elated at how Pacquiao is progressing in his training otherwise they won't make a bold first round knock out victory for the Filipino boxing superstar.

Manny Pacquiao and Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto will collide on November 14 at the MGM Grand garden arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Commentary: Is this a trick or Roach really calling it as he think it is?
